Horst Rüther, CEO
Horst Rüther is the founder of MEON Medical Solutions and MEON Functional Diagnostics and CEO of the companies.
Previously, Horst has successfully managed multiple in vitro projects for blood gas systems with AVL Medical. He was Head of different R&D departments at AVL Medical and significantly contributed to the market success of the company, which was one of the Top 3 manufacturers of blood gas systems.
After the acquisition in 2000, Horst became Head of Instrument R&D and Head of Technology Management for vital parameters at Roche Diagnostics Graz GmbH.
Horst is Doctor of Technical Science from the Graz University of Technology.
Helmut Wurm, COO
Helmut Wurm, Chief Operating Officer of MEON Medical Solutions, leads the local operations and global sourcing strategy.
Helmut has over 20 years of experience in successfully managing operating organizations in the medical device industry. He has experience in establishing lean and effective manufacturing and procurement processes that meet all ISO 13485, FDA and MDSAP requirements.
Before MEON, Helmut was Managing Director of Tecan Austria GmbH, Managing Director of Wild Technologies s.r.o Slovakia and CTO of 4a medicom. Prior to that, Helmut worked with Roche Diagnostics Graz GmbH for 13 years in various roles within the Operations organization with increasing responsibility, most recently as Head of Operations.
Helmut holds a degree in manufacturing engineering combined with business administration from Graz University of Technology.


Bridgette Webb, CCO
Bridgette Webb, interim Chief Commercial Officer at MEON Medical Solutions, leads the global commercial, marketing, and support strategy.
Since joining MEON in 2019, Bridgette has played a key role in shaping the product, validation and regulatory strategy – ensuring innovation focusses on the needs of small to mid-sized laboratories. She currently leads a cross-functional team covering product strategy, marketing, regulatory affairs, validation, and technical support.
Prior to MEON, Bridgette worked with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), where she helped coordinate laboratory proficiency testing as part of the International Quality Assurance Programme (IQAP). She also conducted research into MRI applications in forensic medicine at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Clinical Forensic Imaging.
Bridgette holds degrees in Chemistry (Queensland University of Technology), Forensic Science (University of Lausanne) and Biomedical Engineering (PhD, Graz University of Technology).
